Clint Coleman – Attorney

Clint is originally from Hayesville, North Carolina.  He attended college in North Georgia at Young Harris College where he was a member of the Men’s Basketball team and was twice named Academic All-Conference.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Clint attended Lincoln Memorial University’s Duncan School of Law.  While in law school, he served as a Board Member for LMU’s Moot Court competition team, where he competed in competitions throughout the country.  He earned CALI Awards for the top grade in various classes, including Torts, Business Organizations, and Topics in Environmental Law.  Clint graduated magna cum laude in the top 5% of his class.

Clint began his legal career in Memphis, Tennessee, representing families across west Tennessee in important domestic relations issues. In 2021, Clint joined a well-known Knoxville boutique employment law firm, where he represented employees harmed by illegal actions in the workplace.

In 2024, Clint founded East Tennessee Employment Law, where he represents clients in employment related matters such as workplace discrimination, wage & hour disputes, whistleblower actions, non-compete litigation, and general civil matters.

Clint is admitted to practice throughout the State of Tennessee, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Clint lives in Knoxville with his wife, Ashley , who is an Elementary School teacher in Knoxville.  Clint is an active member of the Knoxville Bar Association and the Tennessee Employment Lawyers Association. In his spare time, Clint enjoys golfing, playing basketball, and hiking in the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee and Western North Carolina with Ashley and their dog, Ted.

Jesse D. Nelson – Attorney (Of Counsel)

Jesse D. Nelson is originally from west Tennessee, having spent his early years in and around Jackson.  He attended law school at the University of Mississippi School of Law where he was a member and articles editor of the University of Mississippi Law Journal. He graduated with honors in 2006.

Following his return to Jackson, Mr. Nelson joined the largest law firm in west Tennessee (excluding Memphis) where he handled a variety of cases in state and federal courts.  Mr. Nelson later joined a civil litigation firm in Knoxville and became a frequent speaker at legal seminars and for professional groups.

Mr. Nelson opened his own practice in September 2011, focusing almost exclusively on employment law cases, such as overtime pay violations and discrimination.  Now, Mr. Nelson serves in an of counsel role with East Tennessee Employment Law, working on select matters and focusing his efforts on mediation of employment disputes.

Jesse and his family enjoy camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors.  They attend Two Rivers Church.
